Our Story
For nearly 100 years, Rizzieri has set the standard in beauty culture throughout the Garden State and beyond; we established the first beauty school in New Jersey, educating generations of stylists and barbers, and now operate two locations in Moorestown and Washington Township. Our salons, spas, and barbershops are fueled by friendly professionalism, dedication to our clients, and pursuit of excellence in everything we do.
1920’s
- Our founder, Franco Cipriotti, started his first barbershop and cosmetology school in Philadelphia.
- Renamed as Maison de Paris, Cipriotti’s school became the first of its kind in New Jersey.
1930’s
- Maison de Paris relocated to Camden, New Jersey and continued its legacy as a renowned beauty culture school.
1960’s
- Maison de Paris relocated once again, moving its famous beauty school to the city of Haddonfield, New Jersey.
- Sal Rizzieri joined Cipriotti’s family, marrying Franco’s daughter Anna.
- Sal joined his father-in-law in the salon industry and opened his first salon, Moncheri, in 1964.
- Anna took the helm of Maison de Paris as her father, Franco Cipriotti, retired.
- Sal’s salon, Moncheri, became the House of Capri. Sal relocated his business to serve the community of Runnemede, New Jersey.
1980’s
- Sal renamed House of Capri to Salon Mirage.
- As it gained popularity, Sal relocated his salon to larger facilities in Washington Township, New Jersey.
1990’s
- Sal and Anna renamed Maison de Paris as the Rizzieri Aveda School, then relocated it to its new location in New Jersey.
- Under the leadership of Anna and Sal’s son Frank, Salon Mirage was rebranded and expanded, becoming Rizzieri Salon & Spa.
- Rizzieri Salon & Spa opened its second location.
2000’s - Today
- The Rizzieri Aveda School moved to its current location in Voorhees, New Jersey.
- Rizzieri Salon & Spa opened a new location in Moorestown, New Jersey. The 14,000-square foot medi-spa, barbershop, & salon provides nail and massage services.
- Rizzieri’s Washington Township salon recently moved to a new flagship location. Its expanded services include a barbershop and skin studio.
